Course Projects
The Duke’s, St. Andrews are proud of our team of dedicated green keepers who work tirelessly to maintain our standing as the only Heathland Championship Course in the ‘Home of Golf’.
In December 2023, we initiated the second phase of a £1.7million investment to enhance the playability and conditioning of our golf course. This will involve improvements to our drainage and irrigation capabilities to further develop the firm, fast playing surfaces our members and visitors enjoy.
We remain open during this period and below is a timeline of the planned work to keep you informed.
In preparing for this project we carried out drainage, sand banding and sand slitting work to our 10th hole at the beginning of 2023. Here we were able to monitor the growing period and predict the impact our larger investment may have on recovery time in 2024.
We were pleased with the results and below illustrates the recovery of our 10th fairway as the temperature increased each month in 2023.
