The Duke’s Golf Academy

The Duke’s Golf Academy at St Andrews offers comprehensive golf teaching services. First-class facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping and bunker area. Lesson and course types are suitable for complete beginners to more experienced players and include a variety of coaching classes.

The Duke’s Golf Academy is relaunching with our new Kohler Kids Easter Camp, offering tailored coaching sessions for juniors aged 5-16 to learn and develop their golf skills. The Duke’s Golf academy will provide three days of fun and learning with dedicated PGA Professionals during the school holidays.

  • Our three-day camp looks at teaching junior golfers all areas of golf from skill development, education on rules and etiquette, alongside playing fun team games/activities at a cost of £90 per person.

  • Junior golfers of all abilities from beginner to advanced and ages between 5 and 16 years.

  • Session 1:

    Monday 1st April – Wednesday 3rd April

    Morning session 9:30am to 11:30am

    Afternoon session at 1pm to 3pm

    Session 2:

    Monday 8th April – Wednesday 10th April

    Morning session 9:30am to 11:30am

    Afternoon session 1pm to 3pm

45 mins lesson suitable for a complete beginner or experienced player.


Group lesson - 2 people

1 hour lesson for two people.


 

Play with a Pro

£195 + Green fee (9 holes)

£350 + Green fee (18 holes)

Play with one of our Professionals at the Duke’s Golf Course.

Customised learning experience for beginner golfers, team building days or for a visiting group to St Andrews a introduction to golf session.

The Duke’s 1st Assistant Professional

Starting his PGA Qualifications at University of the Highlands and Islands in 2015, Graham has been a passionate golfer all his life. The love of the game has focused Graham to work with golfers of all abilities from complete beginners to the well-established player.

His passion for teaching is contagious and he’s committed to really understanding the potential of each person and helping them to reach that potential. “The Duke’s facility gives me all of the tools I need to deliver the lessons that work best for the golfer. Whether you are taking up the game for the first time or used to competing at a high level, we have the learning environment to help you.”

Lewis Johnson

The Duke’s Trainee PGA Assistant Professional

Lewis began his golfing career playing in events including Young Masters Golf, Clubgolf and the Scottish Golf Academies. These experiences heavily influenced Lewis’ decision to pursue a professional career in golf. In 2017 he began studying Professional Golf at The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).

Lewis was not only academically successful by obtaining his Degree in the early months of 2022, he was also very successful on the golf course, with a British University Team Championship Final appearance and was able to lift the Scottish University Team championship title in his final year at UHI.

As our newly appointed Trainee PGA Assistant Professional and member of the Duke’s Team, Lewis’ passion for golf has been welcomed by our Members and Guests alike. His dedication to providing golfers of all abilities, with the tools they need to improve their game is second to none. Lewis is dedicated to providing memorable experiences through individual or group lessons on our driving range and championship golf course.

Lewis loves being a part of the team at The Duke’s and believes our facilities are the perfect environment to learn and achieve new goals.
